Week 3 Power Rankings

WLW Week 3 B1G Power Rankings
Three weeks of college football have gone by, and it feels like a lifetime ago that we were playing Cal. Finally, slowly but surely, we’re gaining some clarity into the NCAA picture. One thing is abundantly clear – the Big Ten isn’t very good.  The conference went 7-5 this weekend in non-conference play. Nebraska got rocked by UCLA. Penn State fell to UCF. Michigan almost lost to Akron. The good thing about the 38-17 lackluster Northwestern win this weekend was that they maintained the status quo. Even though they fell a spot in the AP poll, their blah victory outshined the performances of the rest of the Big Ten’s top teams. And even though I didn’t put the ‘Cats in the two spot in my poll, that’s where they stand in our weekly power rankings – beating out the Michigan Wolverines by one point. We still won’t know much about where every team stands until B1G conference play begins, but for now at least, the ‘Cats look like one of the favorites to emerge from the Legends Division and play in Indy for a trip to Pasadena.
